From Adventure to Masterwork
Artist Presentation – Thursday, January 28th, 6:00 PM

Western Spirit Museum of the West

3930 N. Marshall Way

Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Every plant along a desert wash has a story to tell. Arizona’s own Dyana Hesson has spent her career listening.

Join Hesson at one of the nation’s most celebrated Western museums for an intimate look at how wild plants and wild places reveal the true story of the West. Building on the success of her popular talk Wild at Art, this new presentation slows down and goes deeper. Hesson takes audiences inside specific works born from her latest adventures, from the first spark of discovery in the field to the finished canvas.

Through video and storytelling, she shows how curiosity, careful research and long hours in the studio come together in some of the most compelling modern Western masterworks being made today. A live Q&A follows, giving guests a rare chance to ask the artist directly about her process.

The evening doesn’t end at the museum. Afterward, take a short stroll to Altamira Fine Art, 7038 E. Main Street, where Hesson will unveil her newest works. These pieces are fresh from the studio, and this is the first chance to see them in person.

Come for the stories. Stay for the art. Leave inspired.
